Applications for the current season are now closed. If you have missed out on the application process but wish to know more about the MPYO, kindly contact the administrator at (603) 2051 5673.

This checklist will help you prepare your application:




Commitment
The MPYO is serious fun. That’s right. Serious! We need your talent, but we also need your commitment. Acceptance of a MPYO position is a significant commitment for the entire season. When you send in your application you are saying that you promise to attend and be well-prepared for every rehearsal, tutorial, camp and concert. Your fellow musicians will be able to count on you just as you will be able to count on them. MPYO needs each and every one of you to make the music happen. No exceptions!


Fees
Audition is free. However, you must attend your scheduled audition at your own expense. Please apply early to ensure an audition at the venue nearest to you.

If you are selected for MPYO, there is a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of RM250 for each member per season, payable upon your acceptance of our offer.

For rehearsals, MPYO will pay * minimum travel expenses to and from Kuala Lumpur amounting to

Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley Bus fare return 
Peninsular Malaysia  Bus fare return 
Sabah and Sarawak  Airfare return 

However, you will be expected to find and pay for your own accommodation in Kuala Lumpur.
MPYO will cover cost of travel, accommodation and meals for tours and music camps.

* Details on fares will be provided to MPYO members nearer to time.


Application Brochure & Further Information
Application brochures are available electronically or in print. You may download an application from the MPYO website at www.mpyo.com.my or request a printed copy by calling the MPYO office. In fact, contact us with any questions you might have.

Applications can be delivered in person or by mail. MPYO does not accept faxed or e-mail applications.

Successful applicants will receive an audition packet consisting of their assigned audition date, time & venue as well as the required orchestral excerpts and audition advice.
